We can wind composite frac plug billets with various ID and OD dimensions using wind patterns that are engineered to meet the required stress loads for the various frac plug components. Filament winding is a manufacturing process that brings together continuous fibers or rovings and resin solutions which are wound around a tool – also known as a mandrel, under tension, to create a hollow form or shape. The fibers and resins are cured in place on the mandrel in an oven to create a hardened product. This process can create products of phenomenal strength. The pattern of the wind, is one of the most important aspects of the process and why we have the ability to create some of the strongest products in the market.
